Finished 1st in RR's (22-1), but was retired for NZL-32 before the Semi-finals. TNZ training boat in 2000. Victory Challenge purchased for 2003 and named "Cristina." Was for sale on IAACSF Bough March 2004 Restored near Valencia Will be active in 2005 CM - "After the 2003 America's Cup, NZL-38, ex-Black Magic II stayed in storage for nearly a year. Now, having been bought in March 2004 by a European group of America's Cup enthusiasts and shipped to a yard near Valencia, Spain, she is currently awaiting launching in the Mediterranean Sea, ready for the 2005 sailing season... " Will launch May 05 2005 The yacht is now close to completion, and over the final months of 2005, the finishing touches will be made to this yacht, preparing her for sailing trials and operation early in 2006. still lies in Valencia, Private Owner, and for sale.
